We normally focus on writing our research findings for specialized scientific journals, not in general media for the public. Last September we had the opportunity to publish a note on Caribbean freshwater fishes and their response to hurricanes.

It was not the easiest thing to write, we went through several versions before obtaining one that did not read like a scientific report.
